In C# you can use the attribute in AssemblyInfo.cs:

[assembly: InternalsVisibleTo("Worker.Tests")]

Simply mark your private methods with internal, and the test project will still see the method. Simple! You get to keep encapsulation AND have testing, without all the TDD nonsense.
