Xcode project not showing list of simulators

I open my project in Xcode 6.1. When I try to run the project, the button is grayed out. When I try to go to Product > Clean, the option is grayed out. When

I had the same issue, generated from an imported project, the project had 10.3 as deployment target and I only had 10.0 installed, changing the deployment target to 10.0 solved my issues.
