I can say that the more I use Crystal Reports (and that has been for more than 9 years), the more I want to move away from it.
The only reason why you would want to stay there, is if you have a lot of CR reports already up and running.
Crystal Reports is the "one-stop shop" that the user see as the "heaven made" reporting engine and turns out to be overbloated, crowded with bugs and license reqs.
It's very powerful, but at a price; it is complex and not always does what you want.
There are better alternatives out there.
