Maven proxy settings not working

I have setup maven proxy settings in conf/settings.xml as

I had similar problem. After adding nonProxyHosts

tag problem has been resolved. note that "zzz.zz.com" has to be replaced with your proper server.

 localhost|127.0.0.1|zzz.zz.com
