can't resolve AppCompatActivity

After renaming application package name, Android Studio displayed this error can\'t resolve symbol AppCompatActivity

Deleting the ".idea" folder worked for me. As mentioned above by Vikas Kumar

Then I using this to fix the "SDK location error"
