Position badge over corner of image automatically

I have a layout where images \"float\" within a certain area. The layout looks like this:

Use an element other than

, e.g. and put it inside your element after the element. Then, give the element position:relative; and the gets position:absolute; top:0px; left:0px;. That is, if you don't mind the badge also being part of the same link - but it's the easiest way. Also, the reason for using is to keep your HTML4 valid,

would still be HTML5 valid, however.
