One thing no one has mentioned is that OO code facilitates writing readable code:

sherry.changePhoneNumber();
phoneCompany.assignNewPhoneNumberTo(sherry);
sherry.receive(new PhoneNumber().withAreaCode("555").withNumber("194-2677"));

I get a strange satisfaction from such aesthetics.
