Postgres ERROR: could not open file for reading: Permission denied

Computer: Mac OS X, version 10.8 Database: Postgres

Trying to import csv file into postgres.

I had the issue when I was trying to export data from a remote server into the local disk. I hadn't realised that SQL copy actually is executed on the server and that it tries to write to a server folder.
