Here is my approach worked fine

public String getFileContent(String fileName) {
    String filePath = "myFolder/" + fileName+ ".json";
    try(InputStream stream = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResourceAsStream(filePath)) {
        return IOUtils.toString(stream, "UTF-8");
    } catch (IOException e) {

    }
