Nexus 7 not visible over USB via “adb devices” from Windows 7 x64

I have done the obvious -- the USB driver was installed from the latest Android SDK, and USB debugging was turned on in the tablet.

1. Enable debugging onto the device
2. Select USB Connection as PTP (camera)
3. Install the driver from http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
