When there is a mouse click ctrlKey is event attribute which can be accessed as e.ctrlKey. Look down for example

$("xyz").click(function(e)){
  if(e.ctrlKey){
    //if ctrl key is pressed
  }
  else{
    // if ctrl key is not pressed
  }
}
