instead of

foreach (string file in Directory.GetFiles(baseDir, "*.*", SearchOption.AllDirectories))
{

do something like this

foreach (FileInfo fi in source.GetFiles())
{
     fi.CopyTo(Path.Combine(target.ToString(), fi.Name), true);
}
