ajaxform: how to remove it, so default submit action is taken

how can I remove an ajaxForm from the form element so the default action is taken?

$('form').off('ajaxForm')

or

$('form').unbind('ajaxForm')

do not work

initialization was $('form').ajaxForm({...});
