This checks if either \ or / are in the variable $string.

if [[ "$string" == *\/* ]] || [[ "$string" == *\\* ]]
then
  echo "yes"
fi

Test:

$ string="hello"
$ if [[ "$string" == *\/* ]] || [[ "$string" == *\\* ]]; then echo "yes"; fi
$
$ string="hel\lo"
$ if [[ "$string" == *\/* ]] || [[ "$string" == *\\* ]]; then echo "yes"; fi
yes
$ string="hel//lo"
$ if [[ "$string" == *\/* ]] || [[ "$string" == *\\* ]]; then echo "yes"; fi
yes
