I get the following error when trying to build (Debug > Windows Phone > Device) the default Cordova TypeScript project : No Windows Phone 8 emulators installed. Please install Visual Studio 2013 with Windows Phone 8 tools selected to install the emulators Note: I was using the release candiate of Visual Studio 2015 and just installed the trial version of Visual Studio Community 2015. Installing Visual Studio 2013 Windows Phone 8 tools can't be the correct solution. Thanks for upgrading to the RTM VS 2015. Unfortunately, you do require VS2013 for Windows 8 emulators to be installed. They aren't

How to add Apache Cordova in Visual Studio 2015 ASP.NET MVC project

I want to create a project for multiple target systems, a web application and a hybrid mobile app using a common ASP.NET back-end. As far I know it's possible to create now a hybrid mobile app using the Apache Cordova Apps template in Visual Studio 2015. I'm also familiar with ASP.NET MVC. Is it possible to add Apache Cordova and Angular to an ASP.NET MVC project to enable also mobile views, so it can be also tested and deployed to any mobile platforms? (I'd prefer to use ASP.NET MVC instead of Web API) If no, is it possible to extend the Apache Cordova Apps project with ASP.NET Web

Visual Studio does not install correctly on Windows 10

问题 I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 (no preview edition - the real thing!). I then installed Visual Studio Community Edition 2015 (I already have VS 2013 installed) so I can begin to use the Cordova functionality. The install churns and burns for a long time and finally finishes with a pageful of warnings. The warnings seem to correspond to entries in the log file (at the bottom of this post). I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling VS2015 thinking that a connection issue was the culprit -

Fresh install of Visual studio 2013 update 4 and Cordova toolset. Trying to start debug of basic cordova template or AngularJsTodo example project ends in breaking at end of js files. Look at link. I can click continues and get to Chrome with everything seeming ok, BUT Dom Explorer is empty at VS2013. Also no breakpoints will be hit. I had this example project working a week ago with no problems. Whats going on here? http://i.imgur.com/PWJcAiY.png This is a bug that appeared since a recent update to Chrome, and it is being worked on. You can run your app on Ripple by hitting F5 through the

Visual Studio crashes when trying to associate Cordova app with store

I'm on the latest version of Visual Studio 2015 Community (14.0.24720.00 Update 1) on Windows 10. I'm currently developing a Cordova App for Windows 10, iOS and Android using the Visual Studio Tools. When I right click on the Project, then go Store > Associate App with the Store, I can successfully log in, see my existing apps and select the one I want, but when I try to actually associate that app with my VS project, VS just crashes. I've already tried repairing Visual Studio through Add or Remove Programs and also cleaning out my project/solution, but none of this worked. Any advice? Thanks!

Debugging Cordova App (android) with Visual Studio 2015 New Emulator

I am not sure if this is me doing something stupid or just up against the bleeding edge.. I am developing a simple Cordova app but that is academic since I can repeat this issue with the standard 'Wizzard produced' default application. I had the app working and debugging fine with VS2013 using both Ripple and occasionally with a real device. I don't have permanent access to the device so I thought Id try the new VS2015 CTP5 with emulator. So far so good. All builds ok and the app does get deployed to the emulator, and starts. However, VS is stuck in the 'deploying' process and never comes out.

Windows Phone 8.1 HTML Company Apps - Can't install company app

问题 I'm having problems trying to deploy any kind of HTML application for Windows Phone 8.1 as a Company App. The application I have developed is using a Visual Studio Apache Cordova Apps project, but I've also tested a manually created .appx , a Blank App (Universal Windows 8.1) and a Blank App (Windows Phone)... the last two seem to effectively be the same project type, the Universal one is just in a Solution with a Windows 8.1 project in as well. I always get the error message detailed below

Is anyone having problems installing VS Tools for Apache Cordova Update 4?

I just saw VS TACO Update 4 as an available update and installed it on two machines, but in both cases, after installing and restarting VS, it still shows up as an available update. Morever, when you try and install it, it invokes the VS installer and tries to re-install components that I already have installed. Has anyone faced a similar issue? I work on the Tools for Apache Cordova in Visual Studio at Microsoft. A mistake was made publishing this update. At the moment it will re-install update 3 rather than install update 4. I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We
