TortoiseSVN (relocate to new repository)

We are facing a problem in relocating our application from the old repository to a new one. Initially we were using //10.X.X.50/svn/XXX . Now we try to shift to the new repository at //10.X.X.152:8443/svn/XXX as the server hard disk has crashed ( 10.X.X.50 ). While we are trying to use relocate option in TortoiseSVN - it gives an error: The repository at ' https://10.X.X.152:8443/svn/XXX ' has uuid '5005c752-e8bc-6a46-9f1b-84ec39085508', but the WC has '005a1777-a2fa-4437-9a0c-b35647624529' We are using TortoiseSVN 1.5.9, Build 15518 - 32 bit. TortoiseGit side-by-side with TortoiseSVN?

I've been using TortoiseSVN for several years now, but am thinking of slowly changing to git, as I really like its branching and merging. I'm currently using git via the command line but am considering installing TortoiseGit. Has anyone had experience of using the two Tortoises side-by-side? Any known issues with this? I would really like not to screw up my SVN installation, as I will be using it for my existing projects. I've been using it for a couple of months now. There are no issues that I've seen with them interacting and overlays work as expected. I'm running the 64-bit versions on Win

Is it possible to invoke Mathematica's diff functionality from the command line?

问题 TortoiseSVN (as well as other Tortoise clients) include a script to diff notebook files in Mathematica. Diff functionality for Mathematica is implemented in the AuthorTools package (perhaps there is something better?) The script currently works by creating a small notebook file in the temp directory, and opening it in the front end. The notebook has a big button that will do the diff and has the file names to be diffed hard coded. A disadvantage is that the notebook with the diff code will be

SVN externals repo “is already locked” on update

Basically I have to repo on the same server: svn://repo/foo -> checked out to d:\foo svn://repo/bar -> d:\foo has an svn:external property set to check this out into d:\foo\bar When an "svn:update" or a new "svn:checkout" this is gist of the error: Command - Update Updated - D:\foo External - D:\foo\bar External failed - D:\foo\bar Error - d:\foo\bar is already locked via d:\foo After I "clean" or manually release the lock, the problem still persists. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Update: Attila nailed it in the comment. I had "foo/bar" existing in the repository. For

What does it mean if some files in TortoiseSVN are marked “deleted” and others “deleted (+)” with a plus sign?

I'm about to do a commit in TortoiseSVN involving rearranging a lot of files and directories. On the "commit" window, there are several files whose text status is "deleted" or "added" but others whose text status is "deleted (+)" or "added (+)". What does the (+) mean? (It's quite difficult to Google for a plus sign, and the word "plus" turns up lots of hits about the blue overlay icon meaning "added") The "+" means that TortoiseSVN was able to figure out the item's history, and has added the history metadata to this commit. For instance, say you rename a file from a to b . If you see the (+)

Versioning Build numbers with TortoiseSVN

Multiple duplicates: https://stackoverflow.com/search?q=svnversion I'm using TortoiseSVN with SVN Service running as a service on a windows server. I would like the version / build number in the project to be updated as or after the project is committed. So that the correct version / build on the project will be reflected in several places such as log files, Resource tables, Help > About Etc... Thanks... Tim You can do this in the build script and other places right before you make EXEs, install files, etc - What I did to add it to my resources/version info was make a template file for my rc

SVN - How to make an Older Revision as the Head Revision?

我们两清 提交于 2019-12-04 18:36:36
May I please know how to make an older revision in Tortoise SVN Repository as the Head Revision using Tortoise SVN in Windows ? I can't see the context menu "Revert to this revision" in the Log Dialog. Did you try rolling back ? Incorrect. "Revert from" reverts the selected version's changes only. "Revert to" will only revert your working copy. If you make changes after reversion, the next commit will fail with "files out of date", asking to update first. If you update, your working copy is back again to the latest actual. SVN is as intuitive or efficient as a dried bat carcass stuck in my
