Which is better for encoding HTML for RSS?

问题 I recently introduced HTML into some RSS feeds that I publish (which up to now only had plain text, no markup), and I was wondering which method is better: use character encoding (such as htmlspecialchars) or just encapsulate everything in CDATA? It seems to me that CDATA might be easier, but I'm unclear as to whether there might be any reasons (subtle or otherwise) for choosing one approach versus the other. (For starters, the CDATA approach would be easier to read when viewing source...)

问题 I have a Google Alert, which I set to be delivered as an RSS feed as-it-happens But is polling that RSS feed the only way to get RSS feed or is there a way to get notified from Google alert as the feed is published from Google? (say through a webservice, etc) 回答1: Google Alerts feeds support PubSubHubbub which essentially pushes notifications of updated content to you if you register on the feed's hub. They're using the hub at pubsubhubbub.appspot.com More info on PuSH here: http://code

How to use YQL to merge 2 RSS feeds sorted by pubDate?

问题 Seeing that YQL is being promoted as a good way to do things, I was curious as to how to use YQL to fetch and merge 2 different feeds into one (sorted by pubDate). It's pretty trivial to fetch 2 feeds but it turns out that the feeds are just concatenated together and not merged. Here's the sample code. select channel.title,channel.link,channel.item.title,channel.item.link from xml where url in( 'http://code.flickr.com/blog/feed/rss/', 'http://feeds.delicious.com/v2/rss/codepo8?count=15',

问题 I'm writing a little application for my own use which will consume a publicly published RSS feed. As far as I can tell, there's no subscribe/post mechanism in the protocol; I need to have my application HTTP-GET the RSS feed periodically. If that's the case, I'd like to grab it every ten minutes or so, but I'm worried about being seen as an abuser. I'd certainly be concerned if I saw someone poking my server every ten minutes for weeks on end. Is this a valid concern? Is there any general

问题 I am trying to write a very simple RSS channel which would display the current day's comic strip from sinfest.net, but I cannot force it to display anything but the linked title. Fetching videos list from a Youtube playlist through RSS doesn't return more than 15 results

问题 I'm using the following API to fetch a list of the videos in a playlist: https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?playlist_id= The problem is if the playlist has more than 15 videos, the response is only the first 15. I thought there is a paging algorithm, but there is no link rel="next" in the response and appending ?page to the end of the link returns 404. Thanks 回答1: First, the YouTube Data API v2 call is already deprecated and encourage you to use the YouTube Data API (v3). I found in

问题 I am writing a very simple RSS reader - all it needs to do is get the xml doc, and print to the console the title and publish date of every item. I got started using these two questions: How can I get started making a C# RSS Reader? Reading the Stack Overflow RSS feed I'm trying to figure out how to subscribe, and as far as I can figure you do it one of two ways. Send an HTTP request to the feed site so it pushes you updates as they come, or poll the site every X seconds and simply print the

问题 I want to implement a "Google instant" like list in my app. Having an editText on top and a list below it, that is updated every time the user types in a new character. Can you point me to the right direction? Is there any widget or anything that I could use or do I have to drop the list and recreate it each time the users types something? Thanks in advance Mike 回答1: Perhaps you are looking for an AutoCompleteTextView? 来源: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4903763/edittext-with-suggestion
