I have read on Stack Overflow some people that have converting to C#2.0 to C#3, but is it really worth it? I have a project that is done at 75% before going in maintenance phase. I am asking to myself if it is worth it to switch to C#3.0? Update: The project will have a web

How to add TODOs and track project issues in Android Studio (NOT in sources)

问题 I am writing a new better version of my old Android project that will fix a lot of UI bugs but also has a better design, needed for integration of some new features. As I go through the source I can see all my old and new TODOs in the source, but there are things I remember and forget I want to do in the future and don't fit in any source yet. Eclipse had a simple list of Tasks in the project on which you could write down and track all bug fixes and new features you wanted for that project.

Any tools to get code churn metrics for a Subversion repository? [closed]

问题 I'm looking for any tools that can give you code churn metrics (graphs and charts would be even better) for a Subversion repository. One tool I know of is statsvn - a Java tool that creates some HTML reports and some code churn metrics. Statsvn reports the number of lines modified (churned) by user over time, some descriptive stats on LOC per file and folder/subfolder, etc. I would like to know code churn in order to get a better idea of the state of the project. Idea behind this inspired by

Mercurial repository layout for multiple branches [closed]

问题 I have a number of quasi-related projects that I want to version control. In SVN I would set them up as multiple directories within a single project /scripts #updates in sync with project1 & project2 /project1 #requires database /project2 #requires database /database Naturally other SVN layouts are possible for this toy example, but this layout has advantages: I can copy files between branches while preserving history I can check out only a subset of projects, eg svn co repo/project2; svn co

version control for one-man project using eclipse? [closed]

I'm currently working on several projects on my own (at least the developing part is done only by me :). Using Eclipse with different Java, R, SQL and other source files I'm wondering what version control system would be best for me. At the time the history of Eclipse IDE seems to be enough, but I'm not sure if this will be true in a month/year... What solution would you recommend and why? To be more precise: I'm quite sure to use SVN or git if I decide to use a full version control system. But I'm just not sure if it is necessary... small update: has the release of Eclipse Helios added new

Subversion repository statistics, other than StatSVN? [closed]

Are there other open source/free packages for producing repository statistics for a Subversion repository? I've tried StatSVN but it seems to be incompatible with the logfiles for Subversion 1.5 and above. Note, I know that TortoiseSVN has some statistics built into its dialogs and repository browsing code, but this is not what I'm looking for. What I'm looking for is a tool that can analyze the repository, and its logs, and produce statistics like these: Who checked in the most code Code growth over time Busy files (changed often) Jason Kealey StatSVN does work for Subversion 1.5 and above.

I work at a smallish web agency (3 programmers, 2 project managers), we mostly make sites for marketing campaigns and also some larger sites. Most of our projects are a week, maybe two, in development. The majority of projects are only worked on by a single developer. Up until now we've been using a spreadsheet

Giving estimates for large scale projects in an Agile Environment [closed]

问题 My firm just got its first large-scale development project inquiry and I would like to use an Agile process. The client has a vision for the application but openly admits to having very few requirements and recognizes that we will have to charge by the hour. Because of this, I've all but sold him on an Agile approach. The problem is that he wants a figure to budget around. I've read a number of articles that pretty much advocate against giving up an estimate because the client will budget for
