Math equations on the web

How can I render Math equations on the web? I am already familiar with LaTeX's Math mode. It turns out this is a bit of a pain. You can use MathML , but browser support is still iffy. If you are starting with latex you've got a few options for converting to html, but they'll all typically end up rendering the actual equations to images and inlining those. Nothings all that pretty (unless you resort to pdf or something). What's best will depend a bit on what sort of content, how many equations, and how complicated the equations are. Here is a decent summary. Colonel Panic The other answers are

do you know of a WYSIWYG equation editor, like DragMath, implemented in javascript/mathml or Flash? I could embed DragMath as well, but I was wondering if there's a way to have a good WYSIWYG formula editor without requiring the users to run a Java applet. Thanks! Disclaimer: I'm working for Scolab on one of the editor listed below. This list of MathML editors could help you: http://www.w3.org/Math/Software/mathml_software_cat_editors.html I know these web-based editors and display engines: FMath and MathMlEditor I met the guy maintaining this, he's great. I am working on a Math related web page and am looking for a solution to writing Mathematical equations easily onto a web page. There are several solutions readily available to me at the moment: Use LaTeX and publish them on my web page as images. Use MathML Both of these solutions aren't ideal and seem somewhat dated. Replacing what should be text with an image is never a good idea and MathML isn't compliant with all browsers/operating systems. I'm hoping that there is a modern solution to using images or MathML, perhaps something utilising sIFR to display mathematical equations? After a bit

Overview HTML5 now allows <svg> and <math> markup with an HTML document without depending on external namespaces (decent overview here ). Both have their own alt -attribute analogs (see below) which are effectively ignored by today's screen-reader software. Thus, these elements are inaccessible to blind users. Are there plans to implement a standard alt-text convention for these new elements? I've scoured the docs and have come up dry! Futher Details Regarding SVG: an SVG's alternate text could be considered the contents of the root title or desc tag. <svg> <title>An image title</title> <desc

I've been doing some research for a mathematical Android related project I'd like to embark upon and I stumbled across for the first time MathML. Does anyone know of any Java libraries which can do any (preferably all) of the following things? Parse MathML Output MathML by parsing standard mathematical notation Render MathML (particularly important) Do any other cool maths-ey things (like re-arrange equations in terms of different things) Number 3 is probably the most important, and number 4 the least. Thanks in advance. axelclk I've used JEuclid for rendering MathML in my Symja project (Java
