问题 I have a java webstart application with many dependency jars(about 20), it starts up quickly in the development environment as a standalone app. However when it's deployed in java webstart, the start up time is slow(1 minute or so). Is there a way to improve the startup time? 回答1: Try this if you are starting Java Web Start app from Windows XP or Windows 7. Go to java control panel. Under "General" tab open "Network Settings" and choose "Direct connection" instead of "Use browser settings".

问题 There is a bug in Java 6u13 and 6u14. http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6835450 Simply put, the following code is supposed to open a browser window, but because of a bug in the framework, it stopped working in Java 1.6 update 13. Nothing opens anymore. There was a similar bug for Java applets (that was fixed in update 14), but this one still exists in update 14 for Java WebStart/JNLP. getAppletContext().showDocument(new URL("http://www.sun.com"),"_blank"); Do you know of any workarounds?

问题 I have java 1.6 update 30 installed on my desktop. The jnlp specifies that the minimum java version is Java 1.7. However I get this error Java Web Start Error: The application has requested a version of the JRE (version 1.7+) that currently is not locally installed. Java Web Start is unable to automatically download and install the requested version. This JRE must be installed manually. UPDATE: What does this error mean? How can I force or suggest a java 7 install? It would be fine if the

问题 What do you think are the advantages/disadvantages of a Java Web Start project against an Java Applet? We're trying to figure out what type we should use for our new application. We've already developed an Desktop App (JAR) and we're trying to make is useable from every machine, which has Java installed, without the need of installing it. Any thoughts? 回答1: Applet/browser/JRE interaction problems. If you don't know what I mean, don't even have an inkling (from lost hair) then deploying

问题 For a automatic software project i need some requests and responses from a Java Web Start application. So i installed Fiddler Web Debugger and then i tried to use this fiddler proxy to sniff all requests. The problem is the Java Web Start application. I added this to the .jnlp file and hoped that it works... It doesnt! :( <property name="http.proxyHost" value="127.0.0.1"/> <property name="http.proxyPort" value="8888"/> The application would ignore it. Then i tried to set up the Java settings.

问题 We are developing an app that uses Java Web Start. When I try to start my JNLP file, I get this warning: The "Location" ( http://<IP>:port ) has been added to the Exception Site List. I would have thought that this would in itself be enough to make the JNLP run. However, I have also done the following under "Advanced": I only have one Java version - it is Java 1.8.0_91, 32-bit. What more do I need to do to make my JNLP run? 回答1: The problem was that the Permissions attribute was missing in

javaws missing in Java 8 for Solaris

问题 It looks like Oracle removed Java Web Start from Java 8 for Solaris. javaws isn't available anymore in Java 8u51. From the compatibility guide: The 64-bit binaries do not contain deployment tools such as Java Web Start and Java Plug-in, therefore desktop integration is no longer required. What do they mean with " required "? It's not possible anymore. It's not possible to launch a Web Start application on Solaris with Java 8. Does anyone know an alternate way (standard, no 3rd party stuff) to
