How do you tell IIS 6 to set the .NET version to 2.0 (not 1.1) When New sites are created?

问题 We create new sites in IIS 6 (Windows Server 2003) using IIS Manager. When these sites are created in IIS 6, the ASP.NET version defaults to ASP.NET 1.1. We would like it to default to ASP.NET 2.0. The reason this is a problem for us is that when you take any site on the server and switch the ASP.NET version from ASP.NET 1.1 to ASP.NET 2.0, all web sites recycle. Is there a setting in the IIS metabase that controls this or a way to create a site via script that sets the ASP.Net version

I looked at, http://forums.asp.net/t/1418959.aspx and asked the hosting for this settings. They say that the actual settings are: "The pool is set with Idle Timeout disabled, Rapid-fail enabled and with a single worker process." But still slow at the first request. Do you have any other clues? Thanks in advance, Alfredo 回答1: You are probably a victim of worker process

问题 We have a ASP.net form [.NET 3.5 on IIS 6] that loads controls dynamically. We are able to retain the values in the viewstate as long as the postback happens within 20 minutes . The database also gets updated properly. Everything works as expected. However, If it takes more than 20 minutes for a user to fill out the form, the controls no longer retain their values during postbacks. 问题 How to set ASP.NET version to 3.5 in the IIS 6 Default Web site properties (ASP.NET tab)? From what I can see was version 2 (even though I have install version .NET 3.5) 回答1: You cannot specify this in IIS. For websites earlier than Framework 4.0 and greater than 2.0 you need to specify version 2.0 in IIS. However there are configurations in web.config to restrict a website to run or compile under framework version 3.5. Visual Studio by default make these setting in web.config To be sure here
