Transcoding characters on-the-fly using iostreams and ICU

I'd like to transcode character encoding on-the-fly. I'd like to use iostreams and my own transcoding streambuf , e.g.: xcoder_streambuf xbuf( "UTF-8", "ISO-8859-1", cout.rdbuf() ); cout.rdbuf( &xbuf ); char *utf8_s; // pointer to buffer containing UTF-8 encoded characters // ... cout << utf8_s; // characters are written in ISO-8859-1 The implementation of xcoder_streambuf would use ICU's converters API. It would take the data coming in (in this case, from utf8_s ), transcode it, and write it

How to point configure down the right path to icu

I'm a newcomer to macs and terminal in particular, so this may be a stupid question. I'm trying to run ./configure in mysrc/myfreeling so that I can install freeling but I get this error: checking for main in -licuuc... no Unicode ICU library not found. Make sure libicu is installed and can be found in a standard path. You may need to set LDFLAGS to specify search path. Now, when I do "port installed" it shows: icu @49.1.2_0 (active) So I know that I have icu. So I tried env LDFLAGS="-L/opt

Transliterate CJK to Latin — preferably in C++ [closed]

问题 It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. I am trying to write a program that can transliterate CJK to Latin (i.e Pinyin, Romaji, etc.). For example you give a Chinese, Japanese or Korean document as input and then you get the transliterated version into

ICU/CLDR | ISO 639 Changes - Monitoring & Maintenance

问题 The International Components for Unicode (ICU) is the underlying library that provides localisation features in various programming languages and environments; I approach this from PHP where the intl extension uses ICU for this purpose. As I understand it, ICU uses Unicode Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR) for identifying ISO 639 language codes. Language codes are subject to change The ISO 639 language codes are actively maintained and have been subject to quite substantial changes over

问题 I have this code, which convert UTF-8 string to Unicode: #include <unicode/unistr.h> //included other header files int main(int argc, char** argv) { std::string s("some string"); // convert std::string to ICU's UnicodeString UnicodeString ucs = UnicodeString::fromUTF8(StringPiece(s.c_str())); // convert UnicodeString to std::wstring std::wstring ws; for (int i = 0; i < ucs.length(); ++i) ws += static_cast<wchar_t>(ucs[i]); std::wcout << ws; } I can not understand how to convert this

Fixing regex to work around ICU/RegexKitLite bug

I'm using RegexKitLite, which in turn uses ICU as its engine. Despite the documentation, a regex like /x*/ when searching against "xxxxxxxxxxx" will match empty string. It is behaving like /x*?/ should. I would like to route around this bug when it's present, and I'm considering rewriting any unescaped * as + when a regex match returns a 0-length result. My naïve guess is that the regex with +s in placeof *s will always return a subset of the correct results. What are the unexpected

Adding user defined rule to existing language
