问题 I'm not blind, I just want to have a way to have my Windows machine read the contents of a buffer outloud. Here are the basic requirements: Read any English text buffer. Pause the reading at any time and resume at any time (not wait a few minutes for a big buffer to finish when someone walks into my office). Adjust the read-back speed at play-time. Highlight the text currently being read (optional) I found a couple of possible solutions: Emacspeak: Designed for the blind. Looks like a stand

问题 I am trying to write some C++ code (using the C++ API) for Festival and am getting stuck while trying to compile. Here is how I invoke g++ : g++ -Wall -pedantic -I../ -I../speech_tools/include/ helloFestival.C -o h -L../festival/src/lib/libFestival.a -L../speech_tools/lib/libestools.a -L../speech_tools/lib/libestbase.a -L../speech_tools/lib/libeststrings.a |& tee festival.runLog The error I get is: In file included from ../speech_tools/include/EST.h:48, from ../festival/src/include/festival.h

问题 i am using Festival c++ Api but in the manual provided at http://www.cstr.ed.ac.uk/projects/festival/manual/festival_28.html#SEC132 saying to link festival/src/lib/libFestival.a etc. so please tell me hw to link them with my c++ programme 回答1: The simplest way to link a static library from g++ is simply to name the library on the command line, using the complete path: g++ mycode.cpp -o myprog /myinstall/festival/src/lib/libFestival.a where /myinstall is wherever you installed the libraries.

I'm looking for a high-quality TTS engine that I can afford (let's say less than 1000$). So far, I've tried flite and festival with default voices. However, while the results are certainly understandable, technical texts are hard to follow. Commercial TTS solutions from Loquendo and Readspeaker sound way better.
