iPhone app submission software requirements

I wanted to understand the things involved in iPhone app submission in terms of software requirements (not the steps to submit it on Apple iTunes Connect) When we download the IOS SDK, is XCode included in that ? If yes, what are the latest versions and approx size of them? When we develop the app and are ready to submit (say as of today), is it necassary to have a particluar (or rather the latest) version of IOS SDK or XCode installed on our system ? Are there any specific OS X requirements (I mean if Snow Leopard and above is fine) ? Everything is detailed on the iOS Dev Center (you may need

iOS 9 app Submission issue in MultiTasking require all orientation

I'm pushing my app to app store using Xcode 7 and my app is universal for iPhone and iPad. But it supports only Portrait and landscape left. Here's my error: How to submit the app with the particular orientation such as Portrait and Landscape left only. Any suggestions to resolve the issue? If you don't want to enable multi-tasking just disable it by adding UIRequiresFullScreen to your info.plist and set the boolean value to YES Or Choose your Target->General->Deployment Info->Enable "Requires Full Screen" option Refer Adopting Multitasking Enhancements on iPad for more info 来源: https:/

App Store Version Numbers - Changing Scheme / Best Practices

We are contemplating changing the version number in the next release of an iOS app from using the traditional Major.Minor.Patch version number scheme to instead use a date based scheme such as 2012.month.patch to better reflect to our users the currency of the app. Apple's only version number guidance in iTunes Connect is as follows: The version number of the app you are adding. Numbering should follow typical software versioning conventions (for example, 1.0 or 1.0.1 or 1.1). My question - do they enforce this traditional scheme? Is there any downside to using a date based scheme? Are there

问题 When trying to upload an app to App Store in Xcode (7.1) I'm prompted with this error message: iTunes Store operation failed. You are not authorised to use this service. The steps I go through when trying to upload Product -> Archive which completes successfully Window -> Organizer where I select my app in the left pane. I then choose my most recent archive, press "Upload to App Store..." and pick the relevant development team. At that point I'm prompted with the error message "iTunes Store

Best Practice: How to handle code differences for iOS App when creating free and paid version?

I want to release two versions, of my iOS App on the AppStore. One is paid and other is free. As of now my code is finished for the paid App. Now I want to add more code for iAd and InAppPurchase's for the free app. What is the best approach for maintaining the two versions? I was thinking about copying the Xcode Project or creating a branch in my git repo. If you branch or copy the project you're creating a maintenance nightmare for yourself down the road. Create a separate target in the same project, specific differences can be handled via #ifdef blocks in the code. Add defines to each

iTunesConnect Bug? Product of In-App-Purchase Can't “Submit For Review”

I've tried hundreds time of this direction but still can not make my In App Purchase available for "Submit For Review": https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/LanguagesUtilities/Conceptual/iTunesConnectInAppPurchase_Guide/Chapters/SubmittingInAppPurchases.html This happened after once of IAP rejection. That was correct with whole new app. I am sure my app status was "Prepare For Submission", and had clicked "+" to add my IAP product here on the App Details Section: "In App Purchase". But, it always complains I didn't add the product into the new version like this, I can't

Check if app was bought

I just wanted to ask if there is a way to check if the user actually did buy an app programmatically. I saw how Infinity Blade 3 and other games forced the user to log in to their apple accounts and somehow checked with the store on whether or not the app has been bought. How is this possible to create programmatically? I've searched all over the web just to find how to open up the storkit view from which you can purchase other apps or videos, etc... Thanks in advance You could try to check for the app's receipt and verify it with the AppStore - NSURL* url = [[NSBundle mainBundle]

What does the “uo=4” parameter in an iTunes link specify?

问题 Similar to this question (What is "mt=8" in iTunes links for the appstore?), I'm curious what the param uo does. On iDevices and browsers, I haven't been able to see the difference... 回答1: UO – Unique Origin: This parameter identifies the tool or sources used to generated the link itself (e.g. RSS Feed Generator, Search API, Enterprise Partner Feed, etc.). This helps identify where the link came from for your benefit, but doesn’t actually affect the end user experience. This can be removed if

How can I sign a release iphone binary provided by a 3rd party?

I have received an iPhone application developed for the company I work for by an outsourcing company. I do not have access to the source, only a compiled binary. I want to be able to sign it using our certificate, provisioning info, etc so I can submit it to the app store. How do I go about doing this? I'm aware of the existence of the codesign but can't really grok how to use it properly for iPhone from the man page. After you have a distribution certificate created and installed, you can codesign from the Terminal like so: cd <path to folder containing YourApp.app> /usr/bin/codesign -f -s

iTunes Connect Promo Codes & App Updates

问题 We have recently released version 1.0.0 of our application and have sent out numerous promo codes in the past couple of days. I was just wondering whether they will still be valid for the 1.0.1 update which we have just submitted? 回答1: Yes. Promo codes apply to your app no matter the version (only the version currently available on the store), and no matter the price (even if it's free a code should work.) 回答2: Here is the text from the apple promotional website: Select an application and
