问题 My app got rejected for the following reason but I'm not using the advertising identifier. Used the following command find . | grep -v .svn | grep "\.a" | grep -v "\.app" | xargs grep advertisingIdentifier and got "Binary file ./libGoogleAnalyticsServices.a matches" as a result. More details on the rejection PLA 3.3.12 We found your app uses the iOS Advertising Identifier but does not include ad functionality. [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"itms://itunes.apple.com/de/app/x-gift/id839686104?mt=8&uo=4"]]; (or do I have to take this link: itms://itunes.apple.com/app/id839686104 ?) Redirect to application if installed, otherwise to App Store

I know it's possible to link directly to an app in iOS by registering a custom scheme (e.g. so://) and it's also possible to link to the app in the appstore via itunes. In many cases, the ideal flow is to provide a link that redirects to the app if it's installed and to the store if not. Is this possible, and if so, how? Added for clarity , the scenario is I'm opening a link (http) from an e-mail on my iphone that's inviting me to join a group in an application. If the user has the app installed on that device it should open, otherwise the http link should redirect to itunes. Lefteris There is

What's the URL to launch in order to bring the iTunes App Store to the front, and open it to show the Reviews page of an app? I want to send my users to the "Write a Review" page. Some other SO answers provided URLs like the one below, but it doesn't seem to work: itms-apps://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?id=12345678&pageNumber=0&sortOrdering=1 Any suggestions for a URL that'll work on iPhone and iPad? Update: iOS 4.2 seems to have fixed this and links now open the App Store app directly rather than the review page. This article Dissecting iTunes links

Proper way to renew distribution certificate for iOS

My distribution certificate is expiring on June 7th, along with all of my provisioning files. How do I properly renew it? Should I revoke it now and request a new one? If I do that than will all my live apps be taken down? Your live apps will not be taken down. Nothing will happen to anything that is live in the app store. Once they formally expire, the only thing that will be impacted is your ability to sign code (and thus make new builds and provide updates). Regarding your distribution certificate, once it expires, it simply disappears from the ‘Certificates, Identifier & Profiles’ section

In a day or two I'll be ready to submit my iPhone app to the AppStore and I'm curious whether people who have gone through this process have any tips / suggestions for a smooth submission process. Here's things I've covered; No memory leaks Tested performance on an actual device Doesn't crash :) Using correct certificates / profile What I'm a little unsure about are how to configure the "Bundle Display Name" /"Bundle Identifier" and "Bundle Name" in info.plist. I understand the first is the text that's shown on the iPhone itself, but what about the last? Does this have to match Bundle

问题 Apple release a new feature of the App Store. The ability for owner of iPhone with non compatible iOS version to download a previous (the last compatible version) of your App. This can be pretty cool. But unfortunaly I have an old version of my App supporting iOS5 which is not at all supported by my backend. The last version require iOS6 minimum. Understanding the Etc/GMT time zone

What is the rationale behind Apple using Etc/GMT timezone when they return the receipt from the App Store for auto-renewable subscriptions. What exactly is the Etc/GMT time zone? Does the Java SDK understand this time zone? Or do I have to use other third-party libraries like Joda-Time ? Etc/GMT is not strictly the same thing as UTC or GMT. They represent the same instant in time only when the offset is 0. In all other cases, they are quite different. Apple explains the designation here . A quote directly from the link gives an example: We use POSIX-style signs in the Zone names and the output
